Meucci Classic No Dot Shaft Ferrule Material?

I bought this shaft in 1995 (classic no dot, 16" taper) and am going to take a stab at building one for myself....

Curious about a couple things regarding the long, thin ferrule:

(1) What material was used?
(2) Were they threaded?
(3) Best adhesive to use?
(4) Would you use a pad? (original tip when purchased was LePro - no pad)
(5) Any other useful advice.....

Thanks for any input in advance.

Not a cue maker but my first "custom" was a Meucci from the mid 90's and if I recall correctly those ferrules were made of ABS.

No. These are the closest thing you will find. It is what Meucci switched to in the 90s. You will not find any current manufacturer of the 80s and early 90s stuff.

I've used that material on several Meucci repairs, only positive feedback from the customers.

(1) What material was used? See above Post.
(2) Were they threaded? Not at that time.
(3) Best adhesive to use? 5 Minute epoxy is what I use.
(4) Would you use a pad? (original tip when purchased was LePro - no pad) No.
(5) Any other useful advice..... I would thread the ferrule tenon and solid cap the ferrule and eliminate the cracking the thin wall caused.

Just buy ABS rod and drill a 3/8" hole in it

The 80s material isn't anything special, the special part is the thin wall
