Does anyone have or know where to buy this screw but 2" or longer?

I need a light plastic material (nylon, PVC, etc). This seller does not have a longer version in stock and will only do qty of 500+. Need like 10 pcs.

Thanks.

If it exists Granger has just about anything.

Too much work plus it's the wrong thread. The thread is in fact 1/2"-13. I'll use the 1.25" screw in the Ebay listing, it's long enough to grab 4 threads. I would have preferred longer. Can also machine down the buttplate internally so screw sits deeper. Again, too much work.

Questionable idea to use weight bolt to hold the buttplate. It is iffy to glue b/c there is insufficient surface area. I don't like having any screw there at all. The butt is better balanced and hits better when the plug end of the bore is empty and the weights are in the front. For me anyway.

These cues are drilled pretty deep and some have weights all the way in *plus the stupid steel bolt holding the buttplate. Plus they are often glued so I have to heat them. I don't understand these practices. Unglue the bolt to get to the internal weights? Which are also glued in? Why.

Whatever, I will put weights inside and make the nylon bolt work to hold the buttplate, better than steel.
Might be able to modify the head of this easy enough to make the head fit with a slotted head to screw it down.

3/8 × 16 thread is normal weight bolt thread .

It has to be circular head countersunk *screw to match the angled surface inside the buttplate. Like the geometry in the Ebay image, not a hex head *bolt. The results in McMaster filtered link look OK but they don't have 1/2-13 thread. Apparently this is a rare pattern for this type of plastic screw.

I thought that the zoro bolt I posted before would be the easiest to modify into flathead

I don't have tools to machine a hex bolt head into angled circular screw head. The drive type is not the problem (flathead or allen hex key, etc).

If I had a lathe I could just machine the inner buttplate surface flat instead.

I ordered the screws in the Ebay listing. They should be good enough. Puzzling that there is nothing longer out there.

Was the cue modified at some point? That era of Meucci cues always used a 3/8-16 bolt to hold the buttcap. Later on, they switched to 5/8-18 then to 5/8-11.

It was not modified.

That info is not quite correct. Meuccis used (at least) 4 different threads. Those you mentioned *and 1/2-13.

Roughly I think the sequence was 3/8-16 (from Originals days), then 1/2-13, then the old fine 5/8-18 hex grub cap screws, then the current "Everlock" coarse 5/8-11. There may be more I don't know of but I have many examples of at least those 4.

I have multiple other unrelated 1/2-13 Meuccis in my possession. Same stupid system with weight bolts (optionally) all the way inside *plus the steel bolt holding down the buttplate. Sometimes the buttplate is glued on nicely so you can discard that bolt. But if it's not it's a pain because there is often virtually no sleeve surface, just the annular cross-section which is not enough to secure the buttplate (unless maybe you use some crazy adhesive which I don't have).

ETA: Sometimes the buttsleeve is not glued either so that bolt holds the buttplate *and the buttsleeve in place.
