Meucci SE VII #001!

I bought this from a friend over 15 years ago and have never played with it. It has chalk on the tip but is mint other than that. I have tried to research it and cannot find any info on the collectability of it or value. Any info would be appreciated as I am thinking of selling it.

It has some value, but that is to be determined by the buyer who has to have it. This is a newer/old Meucci, not an "Original". Therefore, value isn't going to be high as expected from a one of a kind. You do have a unique cue and if you have to sell it, put it on eBay. You could always contact Meucci for an appraisal, but you may or may not hear back from them. I'm going to take a wild guess, if it has one shaft, maybe $500, two shafts, $600. Again, that's a guesstimate! Good luck and it really is a neat looking Meucci.

value of meucci

I believe ebay is your best bet. These sell for 700-800 new I believe. You have number 1 and to a collector that is a lot. Probably sell this for 1K if you find the right buyer.

I'm guessing the way the market is right now it would top off at $450 on Ebay if you are lucky. Being number one in the series could raise the bidding probably up to $100 difference.

I wouldn't call Meucci about what it is worth unless you wanted a good laugh. I can't remember ever when anyone there was accurate or honest.

If you want another month which will be tax time, it may bring more on ebay.

Calling Meucci for a value on the cue would be wasting your time. They will give you an unreal inflated price they list their cues for but never get that much money on the open market. If Meucci gave you a price you could just about cut it in half as to what you should really expect to get.

good advice on waiting until tax time. being a number 1 would increase the value a great deal for me. im not much of a collector but if i was looking for that cue and it is a number 1, i would definately be willing to pay more. it also depends on how many were made; number 1 of 750 vs number 1 of 100 would be a big difference. my guess would be 700 bucks.
