Meucci sneaky Pete question

I was wondering if an m-1 meucci sneaky Pete can come without a weighted bolt. One I recently purchased has no markings or weighted bolt. Not even a threaded insert to put a weighted bolt.

It has the black dot shaft but that's the only marking. I've been searching everywhere to find the answer to my question. I hope you guys can

First off, I am not a cue maker. I just bought a sneaky pete meucci, as well, and it has no markings. All of the ones that I have seen have either a large allen screw or a large flat head screw for the weight bolt. The insert almost looks like plastic before the threads start. This is just from the ones I have seen. The bumper should also be just a regular style slip in bumper. I'm not saying your cue isn't a Meucci. Its possible it was ordered a little light than most factory specs. I'm not really sure.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's got me confused. I bought it from a reputable authorized meucci dealer and the cue looks authentic. I just hope it's not a fake. I just started shooting again and I used to have a sneaky Pete and it looks exactly the same but my other one also had the weighted bolt.

I just joined the APA in my area and wanted a nice stick for tomorrow night. I've been using a friends. I got so excited when I seen the stick I didn't think to check out the weight when I bought it. Hope I didn't get screwed.

I seem to remember seeing a few Meucci sneaky petes back in the early 90s with no weight bolts, and I remember some did have weight bolts. These were before they had any marking or dotted shafts. Before the black ring in the forearm.

The usual signs they were a Meucci were the longer ferrule and plastic ferrule color, the joint screw, and the rubber bumper.

Post some pics of your cue if you can.
