I had been waiting to see this for a while and happened to stumble on the release info the other day. I snagged one when they dropped today and looking forward to comparing it to the trusted Cuetec propel.

If it’s anything like the power break G was, they will be tough to come by after the initial sell out.

Jump technology huh.

With cases having many pockets and new equipment, I think Mezz will sell a lot of them.

Not sure why people don't learn how to kick. I rarely see the occasion for a jump cue. It usually causes a ball in hand depending on who is using it. LOL

Just because a guy uses a jump cue doesn't mean they can't kick. Sometimes a jump is an easier shot, or it could be a matter of getting shape. I know what you mean though, I enjoy seeing my opponent get out their jump stick. Amongst non-pro level players it often turns out ...not ideal. They might make the shot but the shape is off so bad it spells doom.

I prefer to poorly execute a semi masse over a poorly executed jump shot. A masse that comes close shows an element of craziness they can spook an opponent.

Oh I don't mind them using it because it is usually a ball and hand for me.

I believe there is a super awkward moment, even socially awkward as well, when your opponent holds up the game to get his jump cue. So he's expecting to make the shot or hit the ball and you also expect him to do something amazing.

It usually ends up with 'ball and hand' and the cue ball flies off the table. When that happens it gets very awkward and uncomfortable. Both players embarrassed.

For the most part, I don't want to be that guy he is trying to impress. What do you want me to say, "Tough jump. Next time."

ROFL

For a very specific use cue, seems like they have been creeping up there, lol. It'll be $1000 in a year or two.

Not sure why you wouldn’t learn how to do both.. they both have their place.

Who says I don’t know how to jump?

I do it with my shooting cue. Only on straight shots or in front of a pocket I will jump.

I guess what I’m trying to say is the industry is trying fo dictate how we play. New equipment every year and trickled down to jump cues.

I always laugh with all the fancy names of jump cues and break cues that causes people to want them ... Honestly what does it have different that makes it really worth while .... I would venture to say probably nothing

A 700 dollar jump cues ... More than silly ...

Revolutionary ?? Because of carbon fiber construction?? Lmao not that gullible

predator and now the rest of the industry is trying to do what golf does. You constantly have to come out with something new To maintain market share. I remember an interview with I think ping who said if you don’t come out with something new every year you lose over 50% of your sales. So if your saying the new equipment like this jump cue isnt any better Then what we already have I wouldn’t disagree.. but the consumer buys it so they are going to make it and they need to make it to stay profitable.

not sure why you dont learn how to jump better and make more balls than short straight ones in front of the pocket, you can win more

kick ,sure you can hit it and you just hope to get safe
jump, make it and keep control

hermmm, wonder which a top player prefers ????

The point of pool is to pocket balls and get shape. So if you need a jump cue you either screwed up on shape, bad roll or hooked. We strive for perfect shape so the three I mentioned shouldn’t occur so frequently.

Now if it occurs then the chances of jumping and making a ball is also very low. Therefore this new jump cue (technology) better provide a 90% chance of making the ball or any jump cue will do.

I just don’t think a player should waste their time practicing their “jumping”. Better time is spent practicing the more important parts of the game.

Like I said, the new fancy cases with the many specialized pockets, encourages the consumer to fill them up. Chalk pocket? Cell phone pocket? Joint protector pocket? Pocket for the gloves? Tip tool?

Basically the jump cue is the last stick to promote. Playing cues and break cues are out there. The next line of product to promote is the jump cue.

Personally I like masse or the infamous curve ball. Will there be a cue for that? Time will tell. LOL

damn you never get a bad roll hooked or out of line?
you champion you!

$700 solution to a $20 problem.

And an ugly solution, at that. But it'll make you the rootin'-tootinest jumpboy ever.
