Tightens up okay? If so nothing to sweat. May be a slight variation in that pin size which is pretty common.I just purchased the Rhino shaft to go with my Mezz EC-9 cue and although it fits well when its tightened all the way - it seems lose and wiggles going on compared on how the Mezz Sigma shaft screws on.

My Mezz‘s United joint is an undersized 5/16-14 like Schon. Rhino sells both the undersized and the full size. Rhino says they have one looser and one tighter. They didn’t seem to understand the various 5/16-14 thread sizes.I just purchased the Rhino shaft to go with my Mezz EC-9 cue and although it fits well when its tightened all the way - it seems lose and wiggles going on compared on how the Mezz Sigma shaft screws on.

Not for under $200 that are perfectly straight today and tomorrow and won't ding, they don't.That's just your butt saying it's time to go back to wood. Mezz makes amazing wood shafts.

That's what she said?So I just received my "replacement" shaft from Rhino with what they are calling a wider pin. It seems to fit better - doesn't wobble on the way on and seems tighter overall. I hope it fixes this issue once and for all. Also very smooth on the butt.
The most common 5/16x14 are the ones used by JOSS and Schon. The Schon has a smaller minor diameter thus its known as the smaller of the two. The Joss-style will go on one but will be a tad 'wobbly' til snugged up.So I just received my "replacement" shaft from Rhino with what they are calling a wider pin.
