Mezz HPII sound of hit

Hello, i tried mezz HPII shaft and got a good to deal to buy it, i liked a hit, just dont like the sound after a little stronger shoot its like metal sound, but the shaft was with hard tip, im thinking maybe with soft tip this sound will reduce or just this shaft not for me?

the tip can change the hit and sound of the shaft completely, i'd try different tips before giving up on the shaft. i like the hp2 quite a lot myself, i have a kamui brown super soft on mine. a softer tip will generally dampen some of the noise of a shaft.

Well,i myself play this shaft with an G2 medium tip on it.sounds Natural and pretty nice to me. Maybe the kamui tips are the Problem,Don t like the sound of them ,because,as you said, they have this unnatural metal sound. If i need Metal sound, i will Listen to Metallica or slayer

im not sure of tip was on shaft, i just see that it was hard tip probably kamui brown, im used to play with hard tips on my predator, kamui black tips are great and all tips after some time become harder and harder..

Then try an G 2 Hard. A friend of mine uses this on his HP2, sounds also natural, not metallic. And the G2 tips hardened not after the time as the kamui tips, that s the reason i switched from kamui Black to them , also no glazing on the G2...
Hope this helps a Little bit
