I have this shaft and there is a hairline crack about 1/4 of the radius around the tip side of the cue. I would like to get this repaired. It is parallel to the ferrule. Can someone here do this?

The warranty covers normal wear and tear, I believe it would be hard to prove that occurred under normal wear and tear. Secondly I purchased the shaft more than 8 years ago and I do not remember where.

Sorry, it took me a while to get back. The issue I have is having Mezz supply me with the white ferrule part. Is there somewhere else I can purchase this at?

Why not try a different ferrule material? I have replaced all 6 ferrules on my CF shafts with Tomahawk. I have tried quite a few different ferrule material types but come back to Tomahawk. It’s easy to work with and polishes up nicely. And it’s competitively priced. YMMV.

Mezz will likely not sell you that part. It's certainly not in their price list. You can use any LBM type material. It's basic machining to make one.

looking at that...first of all what brand of carbon fiber shaft? secondly.....the alignment of the fibers for a carbon fiber shaft go from butt to tip....so VERY hard to have crack go perfectly against the grain if you will.....from the pictures it looks more like a scratch from a tip shaping tool...which is no big deal. Does it go most of the way around the tip? if so....it's a scratch. usually either from a scruffer or a mushroom trimmer

Looking at it again, I agree with you. Looks like more of a scratch than a crack. The marks on the ferrule are a bit odd though as they appear to be longitudinal..

Ditto! I’ve replaced a bunch with Tomahawk. Way better than what the manufacturers use in most.
