As for the msrp prices of Ignite, Revo, Rogue and other known shafts I don't expect them to drop in a near future if ever. If all those most known manufacturers keep their prices high the chances some new manufacturer or custom builders will have an impact are not so big. If for example small italian company is asking the same as Predator...
Anyway I don't bother much. I believe much better to invest in knowledge and skills. When it comes to me whether it's about playing, coaching or cue-building and I can tell it is quite good to know what you want, why and having fun in the process to achieve it.
When all those cf shafts appeared of course I was fairly curious about this and that trying those I could. Now my curiosity is satisfied and I see all the + and - of wood and cf and still enjoy my 31" maple shaft I built for myself. After going from 12,4 to 12,00 at the tip the deflection was pretty low but became even lower and yes I love the feel of it much better than any other I tried.
What is good when it comes to a secondary market the prices for used, "test hit" cf shafts seem to become more adequate than a year or two ago.
