here's a poll guys, whats the best break cue for you? Mezz PB2 or Predator BK2????
 
Predator BK2 for me...

I don't like the shorter butt of the Mezz.
I owned in the past the Mezz Power Break I and didn't really like it, the shaft was very heavy and generated a lot of cue ball deflection. But it did had a massive break, and that was with a leather tip.

I like the shaft taper of the Pred. BK2 (closer to pro taper) better then most current break cue that offer a "strong" taper. Mine is 17.9oz with forward balance which is the way I like my break cues, I feel most comfortable with it.
 
shouldnt bk2 or bk be compared to powerbreak? i think powerbreak2 is shorter and is a jump break cue?

it's not supposed to be a jump break cue but it'll get the job done
 
BK2, Hellz Yeah. Lorenz, I noticed you are located in Rotten Groton. I have family up there, My uncle is in the navy.
Is it Poolish up there?

i'd take the regular mezz break cue, never tried the short one, over the predator break cue any day. it's stiffer and seems to not only get into the pack better but allow for better control.

not a scientific analysis but the one i like better anyway.
 
Oh I have to comment on this one. I fell in love with the Mezz Power break. At first when I saw it I thought it was a joke. But let me tell you this thing is SOLID as a rock when breaking the balls. I feel no vibration, and you can get a really solid hit with it. Also jumps pretty good.

I also had the BK2, and soon as I got to try the Mezz I put the BK2 in the closet :D

P.S I have the Power Break II, wich is the shorter one, and a jumper. It's one bad ass little cue ;)

I would say your poll is going to get a ton of predator responses because it is by far more popular. I have never seen anyone around Ontario with the Mezz Power break 2 other than me. So don't let this poll make your decision. Try them both out. Will be hard to find a Mezz one to try out though. Very rare.

But coming from someone that has had both. The Mezz is far superior.
 
thanks for the info guys. yea, mika told me that they are going to have more mezz cues out in the US. i would love to try the PB2 but nobody here in groton CT has it so i might just buy one..
 
Thus far the BK2 is the best cue I've broke with. I tried a few racks with the Mezz and didn't think it was all that but was a quality cue.
 
i think the powerbreak cue is closer to the xbreaker than the bk2. i liked the xbreakers i've tried and the powerbreak seems more similar to that in terms of stiffness and feel than the bk2. more "solid" to me.
