Hi guys,

I recently ordered a new shaft for my mezz cue the WX700.
My question is if any of you know the difference between the WD700 shaft and the WX700, the only thing ive been reading about is that the WX700 comes with a kamui tip instead of the moori tip on a WD700.

I feel really stupid if that is the only difference beacuse the WX700 is like 100$ expensier...

Hope u have understandings for my bad english, im from Sweden.

The WX700 is 12mm and has a conical taper. WD700 is 12.5mm with a pro taper

nope, the WX900 has 12mm with conical taper, the WX700 is the evolution of the WD700. same taper but different ferrule.

Hello,

Thank you for your email. The difference between the WD700 shaft and the WX700 is the tip. The WD700 has a Moori Medium Tip and the WX700 has the Kamui Brown Medium Tip. Mezz is transitioning into using the Kamui tips for their shafts.

Sincerely yours,
Christina

Wx 700

Hi Volks,

i just received my new WX700 from Mezz a few days ago.
I used the WD700 for a bit over a year and honestly have to say that it was a bad shaft.
First it felt good, the deflection was like a solid wood shaft, but the ferule(!) turned into a Mushroom! I wasn´t satisfied at all...:frown:

I was also afraid to buy the WX700 because i couldn´t test it, but i was surprised from the first shots on!!
It has very little deflection, a good and solid feeling, it´s easy to get lots of spin on the Cueball and I can control the Cueball well with it.

So i can highly recommend the WX700, it is of course a great shaft which you will love from the first moment on! ;)

Kind regards from Austria
Chri$
