I agree Master chalk is good, no question, the standard for many decades!

However I have been using the Mezz Smart chalk and it is VERY good!
A little softer than Master chalk, and the grip and how it stays on the tip better, in my opinion.

The cleanest and possibly (as it's been proven the one with less skids cuz of how clean it is) remains Taom. A great chalk also.

Taom and Mezz Smarthave been my favorites in the last few months
