So in other, more quirky, pool news. I just saw that Mezz came out with a new chalk line. Normally, this wouldn't be all that spectacular as I mostly subscribe to the "chalk is just chalk" line of thought, but in reading the description I noticed that this chalk is just a bit different. It seems there is a magnetic component to the chalk which should help find the cue ball and reduce miscues. They also claim to have better transference of spin, which I could see as partially beneficial on table length draw shots.
While I doubt that any person with a decent stroke would find this of particular use, I would have to admit this is definitely an innovative idea, albeit one that I could only see beginners using. Also at 13.50 for a single cube of chalk I'd probably have a hard time switching from my Magic chalk or good o'l masters.
I do like seeing new niche products and I hope someone can offer a review once its been out for a while.
