Mezz Sonic Tip Replacement

A customer of mine asked me to put a Taom tip on their Mezz Kai break cue. I have not seen the white plate/pad under the sonic tip before and was wondering if I should remove/replace/leave alone?

I have reached out to Mezz for their recommendation but thought I would ask here as well.

Mezz Kai ferrule

That is a G10-plate ferrule. Replace only the leather tip as you traditionally do. Some ppl have difficulty CA glueing G10... I've found that not all super glue is created equal.

Thanks guys. I normally use 2 part epoxy for break tips (JB clear) so hope that will bond with the Taom and the G10.

Mezz replied to my email and told me to take the pad off but I left it on as per everyone's suggestions and think it turned out nicely. Customer feedback has been fantastic on this tip.
