Mezz Sports Grip problem

I have a Mezz PB Kai with the sports grip and well, time and use is taking its toll. I have the option of sending it back to Mezz in Japan to get the original sport grip replaced which costs $60 for the service and $80 for return shipping, plus the shipping on my end which would likely be another $60-80 putting this rewrap job at a whopping $2-220… ouch. I love the feel of the original grip but $200 for a handjob is a little steep. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Personally I would just try to find someone who could rewrap it with something else. Leather in my case…

Try these guys.
They work on all types of cue sticks from Predator to Szams.
I have had shaft work done by these guys (I have been to their shop) and they are great to work with.
Highest praise!

I would ring up Proficient Billiards and see about getting a nice leather wrap on there. I have never seen a "sports grip" last on any tool; every single time the rubber gets all torn up and yucky.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I do like the idea of a leather wrap and I’ll check out the recommended companies 😎
