Mezz "United Joint"

I'm not at my normal location so I don't have any cues available to measure
the difference between the United joint and a stock 5/16x14.

Could any one help me out here and give me the potential differences
between these and if it's a simple mod to get a stock 5/16x14 shaft to match this thread ?

It is a straight fit. No mod required.

Not so sure this is correct. I know the Powerbreak cue has stock threads but
I tried to mount a stock OB shaft on the United Joint - no fit - at least very very
tight which had me stopping.

Anyway, I'll figure it out when I'm back.
