Mezz vs lower end customs

I just got a Mezz Sneaky Pete MSP2-P and I am really impressed. I'd said above that I had reservations about Mezz because I'd heard they have a thick butt, but I called Mezz USA and found out the opposite is true, so I ordered one. The quality of the finish is top tier. The United joint is a very snug fit and perfectly machined. At 19.5 ounces it is balanced to where it feels lighter than my other cues that are actually slightly heavier. I sold my Keith Josey Plain Jane recently and while it was a great cue, I prefer my Pechauer Pro and now my Mezz, which is my new favorite.

I played with a ec7 with the wd700 shaft. And a sawdust custom. I feel that both hit really well. The sawdust with its kielwood shaft or the cf shaft from jflower. I even played my ec7 with a rhino. All hit really well. But for mezz to compare to those higher end custom i would not be able to say. But mezz to me is easily one of the best hitting cues. I would say custom cue might be more of the choice for you to choose the type of designs. Wood choice and inlays.
