Yes, some independent and production line cuemakers accommodate this joint (or you can have a cuesmith amend an existing shaft for you) - most after-market shafts will be using the Wavy I fixing, which the Wavy 2 will accommodate. I am not sure if anyone is making them with Wavy 2 specifically, but then I am not a cuesmith, just someone who has experience in buying a couple of shafts for my CP21Does mezz wavy 2 joint accept any other shaft but mezz.
No. What that other poster said is bs. The old Wavy1 shafts will fit the new pin. I wouldn't try any others.Does mezz wavy 2 joint accept any other shaft but mezz.
where do you hear this stuff? its almost impossible to find taps/pins for Wavy1 much less the new Wavy2. BTW, Wavy 2 shafts will fit only Wavy2 pins. 100% yes to this.BTW, Wavy 2 shafts will fit only Wavy2 pins. Wavy 1 shafts will fit either.
You must beHear? I just lived this- On Xianyu app I can find many CF, Wood and KW shafts fittings Wavy 1 butt. That's what the OP is after right?
I have reduced my Mezz equipment since picking up my Vigus, but still use it for Chinese-8 with an ILC shaft - and have some spare shafts as a 'Just in case' - one is Mezz, one is called 'Fuhjin' made by a Japanese company, one is handmade, and the other was a Musashi that has been worked on by a cuesmith here to fit.
100% yes to this.
Yes, I get that continental differences probably apply here (even with regard to the work cuesmith is willing to undertake)You must be
in China. The majority on here are in the states and have little-to-no access to a lot of stuff where you live. In the US there aren't that many Wavy shafts around. Rhino, Mezz of course, GoCustoms and maybe a couple others are it.
It’s my understanding that all new Mezz Exceed cues are all wavy 2 joints. Do you know if that is a fact?where do you hear this stuff? its almost impossible to find taps/pins for Wavy1 much less the new Wavy2. BTW, Wavy 2 shafts will fit only Wavy2 pins. Wavy 1 shafts will fit either.
In the US a Wavy1 tap is over 300bux. No cuemaker will buy one. Wavy2 taps/pins are not avail. at all.Yes, I get that continental differences probably apply here (even with regard to the work cuesmith is willing to undertake)
no clue. nice cues but i'd never spend that $$$ for a cue stick. It’s my understanding that all new Mezz Exceed cues are all wavy 2 joints. Do you know if that is a fact?
I believe they are only producing with this joint now (as far as I am aware anyway. I can ask my friend who is specifically a Japanese cue seller here. He'll probably know). It’s my understanding that all new Mezz Exceed cues are all wavy 2 joints. Do you know if that is a fact?
It is still quite pricey here, but not to that extent. I paid the equivalent of 150$ to convert the Musashi. The others were all either traded, or purchased as they were.In the US a Wavy1 tap is over 300bux. No cuemaker will buy one. Wavy2 taps are not avail. at all.
That is what I thought. What joint did you convert the Musashi cue too?I believe they are only producing with this joint now (as far as I am aware anyway. I can ask my friend who is specifically a Japanese cue seller here. He'll probably know).
