Just upgraded my Mezz AXI with Ignite shaft and Wavy joint to a Mezz ACE 218 with another Ignite shaft, but the new Wavy II joint.
Man! Wow! What an improvement!
The double threads on the new wavy II joints really snug the joint down tight. I used to have to constantly check/tighten the joint on the AXI.
The feel is incredible, and as usual the Ignite shaft does not disappoint. And the finish is the usual high standard associated with Mezz.
On a sidenote....
I am an American expat living in South Korea. In the past I had always bought from Mezz USA, the guys in NYC. But when I tried to place the order, I was informed that they no longer ship to APO addresses. I pled my case: loyal customer, etc. yet still received a polite yet curt "No!"
So I reached out to J&J America and asked if they would ship to APO? "No problem" said Brian Renn. He even gave me a discount since I was buying a complete cue and the Ignite shaft at the same time. Package arrived within a week bundled up like a baby: safe and sound.
Hats off to Mezz and J&J America
