Anyone ever seen micarta ferrules with thin brown streaks in it? This is
yellow, but has little hair thin lines of light brown.

Also on the early JW cues, with the sideways W, did he paint those on under finish' or did he engrave them into the butt cap?

yES THE MICARDA DOES HAVE BROWN LINES AND IS VARY YELLOW . IF THE BUTT CAP IS NOT DELON THE JW CAN BE FELT IF IT HAS BEEN REFINISHED YOU MIGHT NOT FEEL IT AS FAR AS I KNOW .
