I have some material that i cant identify. I have been told it is some form of micarta. The material is a yellow color. I have a friend who has old micarta ferrules on his cue the material i have is a little darker than his when finished. I got this from a machine shop a few years ago and never used it. I would like to cut two one inch ferrules and send to someone who could identify this material. Whoever i choose can keep them use them or throw them away if they are of no use. The person i choose of coarse would be a cue builder or repair man. Maybe AZer"s could point me to the best person.

Send them to Micheal Webb. He posts on here and although there are a few others I can think of that more than qualify, there isn't a better choice. (401)724-4476 or 8, I forget.

Is it paper based or linen based material?

Thanks Gene
Based on his location, I suggested Jeff Prather, It would save him some money on shipping fees.

In my search to find an answer to my question i was talking to Darrin Hill and i am in the process of sending him a piece of the material. I thank everyone for the responce. I haven"t been on AZ very long. I am still amazed at how everyone wants to help others with questions, problems, instruction, etc. THANKS TO ALL
