Has anyone else noticed that an eBay seller keeps finding old 1800s cabinet card and CDV photos of amish looking dudes and trying to sell them as images of Michael Phelan? The guy is on his third different amish dude photo at this point. Other billiard historians have been to my house and seen what I have in person. I have a set of ten photos that include Phelan, and I own Phelan's family album, containing a CDV showing him seated with a cue. The guy selling the photos likes to show an artist's rendering of Phelan, even though real photos of him can be found online. Frustrating. At least he is persistent.
