Ok time to pick up some end mills for cnc inlay experimentation. I do not think that I will venture below .020 at this point and once I get everything dialed in I may try something smaller. What are you guys experience with brand- sourcing options - and # of flutes. I have had good luck with precise bits in the past for other needs but have never used anything under 1/16. They seem to be the premium and I guess I was wondering if I can get away with a less expensive solution for my learning curve. I see a lot of 2 flute Kyocera on ebay in 5 packs for pretty cheap. I also see Kodiak on amazon which are about the same as the PB but Amazon prime sure is nice. I have used Kodiak 1/8 aluminum cutting mills in the past and had good results. I am really tempted to try the Kyocera based on the price but I hate to find that they are snapping off one after another and that the whole time the problem was crappy bits. It seems that a lot of mills this small are advertised for pcb work. I assume for drilling tiny holes for components.

Precise is all that I use. I've used other brands before but have never been happy with the results. If your machine is tight, once you get your speeds and rpm's correct you should seldom break a bit. I seldom break one. They just get dull.
