The Coors Light WPBA National Qualifier, hosted by Cue-Can-Do Billiards Café, on August 16, 2003, in Schaumburg, IL, as the inaugural event of the newly formed Midwest Regional Tour, was a huge success – especially to our winner – Tara Davis, of Lansing, MI. Twenty-one women came to enjoy a day of great pool, fun, and camaraderie. Tara was on fire, coming out of the loser’s bracket to beat Julia Gabriel 9-3. Tina Larsen took third place, followed by Karla Chorny in fourth. Places paid were to eight, and one lucky raffle winner won an Andy Gilbert Break/Jump Cue. Other prizes were a subscription to Pool and Billiard Magazine, and a 2004 Pool Cue Calendar. Much thanks to Cue-Can-Do, Andy Gilbert, Coors Light, Pool & Billiard Magazine, and Keith Walton for making this tournament happen!
