If I am not mistaken, Mika is the only person I have heard of who was white-washed in the finals of the US Open. (2001 by Corey)

Now what's the odds that you come back to win two in a row after this happens to you??

He has a few records actually. First Non-American player to win multiple US Open titles, First Non-American player to win back to back titles. Only player to be white washed in the finals.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has the record for most matches won in a single US Open tournament.

In 2001 though, he almost became the only player to ever win the US 9 ball Open and World 9 ball title in the same year, at least in their modern incarnations.

In 2001, Mika was skunked in the finals by Corey?? Mika has won two in a row, and unless this year is 2002, it wasn't in 2001.
