I appreciate any info about Capone cues. I currently have a Schuler that I like and use very often. I was looking at a Capone and it looks very nice. My questions is to any one who might have shot with with one is: what kind of hit, are they built well, have you if you own one had problems with it & any other info would be appreciated. Are they priced fair for what you get?
Thanks

if my capone cue was edible, i'd have it for dinner every day, that's how wonderful it is... :p

on a more serious note, i love the big radial pin, which makes the joint reeeaaally tight. the cue ball action i'm able to get is incredible as well.
i don't have an original capone shaft, only a couple of predators, so i can't vouch for the original.
as for materials, everything is first class, and the workmanship impresses me. i don't think you can go wrong with a capone.

Capone Cues

I met Mike Capone 2 weeks ago at the Derby City and he had some BEAUTIFUL stuff and I really like his cuemaking ideas. His inlay work and designs are very impressive as well.
You will definately be happy if you decide to purchase a cue from Mike.
Cheers,
Mike

I just leather wrapped a Mike Capone cue about 2 hours ago. 6 pointer (3 or 4 Veneer) with 6 sharp ivory diamonds in the butt of the cue. Veneer work was awesome... Cue was built I think in 2004, and rolled perfectly straight. Cue Handle was laminated wood, and very nicely constructed. IMO, very very nice cue, and this customer was offered $1400 at the DCC, and all dealers were very interested in trading or buying the cue. Hope this helps some.

I have 2 of Mikes cues and the wife has got 1. All 3 were custom order, all delivered on time. I like the hit of his cues, good balance point, 19" from butt cap. He uses 3/4" ferrules which help cut deflection, all in all Mike makes a great cue, you won't be disapointed if you get one, trust me. :D

Capone

I just received mine from Mike right before Christmas. Since the day I first tried it, I have put my South West away and used it exclusively. One of those cues that just felt great in your hands. Balance, fit, finish, everything was top notch. As someone said earlier, the points and veneers are very well executed (although the veneers are very thin). And talk about a tight, solid fit on the shaft, it still squeeks every time I put it together. Can't go wrong.

I second that.My capone feels like an extension of my arm. I wouldn't play with anything else.

I have a Capone and I love it. The points are flawless. His leather wraps are among the best. I love the way cue hits. It doesnt matter what I do to the while playing I never get a "tink" or an unpleasent sound from the cue. I wouldnt hesitate to buy a Capone cue.

i had a capone which i recently sold to richard. it had FLAWLESS veneers, ringwork and one of the best leather wraps on it. i have only the best things to say about mike's construction and quality control. you can't go wrong there.

hit of the cue wise.. i felt it was a little on the soft side. (wood 2 wood joint)

I have a Capone Cue, the points & veneers are beautiful. His workmenship of this cue is excellent. I have 1 problem, it's not with the cue, it's with me. I play only in the BCA/VNEA league pool, it's too nice of a cue to take into a bar and get dinged up, so it's sitting in a case in my closet. I play with a Schon playing cue and a local guy Jim Antil made me a beautiful Tulipwood jump/breaker. If you are a careful player (unlike me) you can not go wrong with the Capone.
