Well I hate to say but I guess Michael Coltrain is giving up pool. I don't know this for a fact but just assumed it since his custom made Lambros cues are on Ebay right now for sale. The direct link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3672405692&category=21212&sspagename=rvi:1:3

I saw Mike maybe a month ago in Raleigh in a tourney and he got pretty upset with how his control on long reach shots were. I really hate this because he is a super nice guy and I love to watch him play (even now). In my opinion he will aways be a force to reckon' with in our favorite past time. I wish him the very best in all of his future endevors. Good luck "TRAIN" !!!

I have always enjoyed running into Michael on the tournament trail. He's a good guy, on or off the table, and he always brings a smile to my face.

I was playing down there in Norfolk a couple of years back in a double-elimination tournament, and I knocked Michael in the loser's bracket. When it came down to the finals, I had the pleasure of playing him again. Only this time, the Train had all engines running and ran over me at full speed. He ended up winning the whole shebang. He shot the lights out in Norfolk that day, and even though he beat me, I was proud of him.

Michael Coltrain will always be a shining star to those who know him, and I look forward to seeing him again soon.

I saw mike at Mothers about a year ago. and he was playing good .And i hear he had sometype of illness but working on playin still and was doing good on his come back Im sorry to hear that .I feel he is a VERY GOOD player..Good luck to mike if this is true. And if not hope to see and play him someday..

I saw Mike and his beautiful girlfriend at Hard Times, Bellflower years ago. I saw Mike play some. He had the most beautiful stroke I ever saw.. If you've never neen it, you missed out. It was so fluid. Luat was giving him the 7-ball one night. Mike could have beaten him straight up. He was running from everywhere. The balls clicked perfectly when Mike was on.
It's sad Mike was dealt a bad hand. His shakes I guess have not disappeared.
I wish him all the best.

I read in one of the pool mags a couple of years ago that he was having tremors in his grip hand.

I hope he continues playing.

Good luck Train

 I too wish you the very best in the future Mike, you are a great guy
and deserve a better fate than you have gotten. Keep searching for the right doctor, eventually you will find one with a cure. God Bless !
