I am curious if this is an authentic sledgehammer jump/break or a fake? I have no reason to believe it is fake, except that I have not seen others like this one. The others I have seen have the picture of the hammer that says patent pending. What are your thoughts?

Whether made in USA or Taiwan, they are all real.

And no matter where they were made, the price stayed the same.:smile:

I thought I read somewhere there were some fakes going around? I have not seen one that looks like this before so I was curious.

Not the same lettering in the buttcap and the originals had a one-piece ferrule/tip, all black. even the later McDermott versions had a one-piece ferrule/tip. But it could be a very early version...?
