I recently had Mike make me some of his newest version of Carbon Fiber shafts, called ICE. They were made for Cuetec Avid butts because I really like their extension system and they're great for the price and easily replaceable. He makes his playing shafts standard at 11.9mm, 12.4mm and 12.8mm. 29" or 30" and are .840" at the joint. They fit the Avid line, which is 21.3mm, perfect. His standard tips are SIB in either blue or tan. He does have some sort of proprietary filling and he uses canvas phenolic joint inserts.

He also makes a break and jump shaft as well. Both 13mm. Horo Black Storm for the break and the White Storm for the jump. I have a break shaft and it's heavier than my two shooting shafts. (3.5/3.7 and 4.2 ounces). My two shooters are 30" and the breaker is 29.5". Both shafts have canvas phenolic ferrules in either brown or black. Not totally sold on the Black Storm tip but it is fine for now.

I have shot with all of the Revos (11.8, 12.4 and 12.9), Cynergy (12.5) and Fortis (12.5). Of those I preferred the Cynergy but would've wanted to replace the ferrule had I decided to keep it.

The first shaft he sent me had a black ferrule. He uses T-34 which Juma. I didn't know how I felt about the black ferrule so I had him make me another one with a white ferrule and also grabbed a break shaft that was unspoken for. I am using the 12.4mm (measures at or slightly below) variant and I have to say I am truly impressed. Super solid feel, even better than the Cynergy and at least as good as the Fortis. Just a very solid feeling shaft. I thought I was going to love the Fortis but it just played strange to me. Not really sure. It seemed to deflect more at slower speeds than higher speeds. I didn't hate it but didn't love it.

These are extremely low deflection. I don't have any numbers or tests done but I can tell you it deflects less than any shaft I have ever used. I would say easily on par with an 11.8 Revo with much, much better feel.

I am using the blue SIB Medium tips and they seem fine to me. I think I'm going to have him install the tan ones next because I have decided I actually prefer the black ferrule and the blue is fairly dark and I think I would prefer to see the tip a little more easily. Just truly totally happy with the performance of these shafts. If you're in the market I would suggest reaching out to Mike on Facebook and order a shaft. Price is $300 for the shooters and $320 for the break/jump and that includes shipping which makes this truly a no brainier IMO.

I will say the shafts do need to be wiped down with some alcohol wipes but they are super smooth and play just fantastic. I am in no way endorsed by Mike and I paid for all 3 shafts. Just a happy customer. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

I didn’t know Mike was making CF shafts now or I would have talked to him before ordering my Cynergy. I might have to get one of his as well. What tips is he using? Still his version of the Milk Duds?

He does SIB Blue as standard but has a bunch of different options. He's using Caiden as well for an upcharge.
