Mike Massey coming out of Retirement for World Artistic Pool Championships Next week

Hello everyone. A week from today is the World Artistic Pool Championships. It will have all of us "usual suspects" as well as Florian "Venom" Kohler, fresh off his 48 hour World Record. However, Tennessee Tarzan himself Mike Massey is coming out of retirement to play in this event. Mike is a 4x winner of this event with multiple 2nd and 3rd place finishes. The flyer is on our web page as well as schedule of events. There will be a free stream on Railbirds TV for everyone to see. If you are near the Bay City, Michigan area, stop on by. All proceeds from the door goes to the Boys and Girls club, where this event is taking place.

I met Mike about 30-35 years ago after one of his exhibitions. I went up and asked him how he does those finger pool shots. He probably spent an hour trying to teach me. What a nice guy Mike was / is. His finger pool shots are awesome.

I had the honor to "caddy" for him while he did that. It is so impressive. The fact that he has bear paws for hands really helps too. :)

There was a tournament many many years ago and the who's who pool players showed up from the US in Mississauga Ont. I watched Mike Massey run 3 big breaks in a row on a 6x12 and was impressed and some trick shots on a pooltable. The funniest part was when someone mentioned him doing push-ups and Mike got on the floor and did one armed push-ups. Pretty good for a guy his size.

ohh nice. Message me after the show. I would love to know how he did. Phoenix area is an area that I have been wanting to do a show at. I have friends there.
 
Mike is phenomenal talent , not only is he one of the best Trick shot creators/artist, he also was a excellent shooter in general, considering the 9 ball championships hes won.
He also holds a world record for the most 9 ball break and runs in 24 hrs.
On top of all that hes a very down to earth guy in person.
Hes definitely one of my favorite personalities in the Billiard world.

Hope he does well in this upcoming event.
