I just aquired this Mike Webb cue today. Had the opportunity to play a few racks with it and as I have been told Mike's cues are players cues.
This one is Macassar Ebony with possibly Tulipwood Floating points.
Some unique ringwork by Mike, Ivory Diamonds in the Butt Sleeve and an Ivory substitute Joint and Buttcap with Mikes logo.
3/8 x 10 joint pin.
Shaft is a nice old tight grained piece of maple, no calipers, but I would put it between 12.50 and 13.00mm with a nice pro taper.
Finish is very good however you can see it beginning to lift at the rings and the rings can be felt through the finish. The White with Brown spec linen wrap is well burnished and super smooth, one of the best I have seen.
Mike told me this cue was made some time ago, he has not made floating points for quite a while he said. He thought he remembered making this as a prize for a tour he was sponsoring, but the person I bought it from stated he bought it from Mike at a tour stop directly, even named the room.
Looking to trade for hoppe style full splice veneered cue with radial pin preferred or 3/8 x 10. Wrapless or leather wrap...or something in the neighborhood.
Will trade up, down, sideways....
I am asking SOLD obo conus.
