I have read many things on the subject and how can it not be a hard tip if soaked and pressed, that was the original concept, cause the elk master was too soft and it could be raised, like some of the milk duds I've seen...soaked elk master for playing and breaking...yet two different soaking agents...it seems effortless when playing with a hard tip imo opinions wanted

I just had some of POOLDAWG8's milk duds put on my shafts. I like them...a LOT. They feel like a medium hard tip, but grab/play like a medium soft. I like them much better than the Kamui Black Soft I've been playing with the last two years...plus at $3 a pop you can't go wrong. :thumbup: I suppose that the agent doesn't penetrate all the way through, which gives you a tip that has a hard crunchy exterior with a soft, chewy interior...?

Actually it depends on Jeff's process as to the casein penetrating thru the tip.. As long as his soak time is adequate the tip will saturate.. This is the main problem with some milk duds in that they are not soaked long enough and end up inconsistent... Jeff's seem to be fairly consistent and tend to have a higher durometer core reading than a stock elk master so I tend to believe whatever he is doing gets them saturated....
