Let's ask her.

Kidding aside, mild dud tips are Elk Master or Blue Diamond soaked on milk overnight then pressed on a vise, iirc.
Can't do it with layered tips b/c it ruins the glue.

joey is right thats what a milk dud tip is but how about those tits i mean tips :p

i had heard it started when someone saw balabushka soaking tips in machine oil (which can be a milky white color) and figured that it was milk so they started soaking their tips in milk and i became a bit of a myth. who knows how true that is. i've soaked tips in rubbing alcohol and then pressed them in a vice to make them harder (mostly triangles to use for break cues) but i don't know about something like milk or oil.

Piss from a three month pregnant yak works best.

That's a myth imo.
Why would GB soak a tip on oil?
To make the tip slicker and not glue at all?

anyone ever use le pro tips?

why milk? wont water work as well?

Water will not work as well.

Milk contains four different types of casein proteins in the form of casein micelles. The casein micelles are absorbed into the leather tip where they act as a binding and stabilizing agent, this hardens the leather and makes it more resistant to mushrooming. Caseins are also used in the manufacture of adhesives, binders and plastics.
