Mirror Training

Recently, I moved from a place with a table to a place without and I have been trying to figure out how to continue my quest to become a better player without easy access to a table.

I have found an interesting article on "mirror training" and was curious if any of you have experience with this technique. I feel that it could really help your game if you stopped playing for a few weeks and dedicated your pool playing time to mirror training instead.

The article here walks you through the basic idea behind mirror training.

Hope some of you find this interesting. As for those who have tried this method, how do you feel about it?

I am going to set this up in my house and try it for a couple of weeks and see how I feel when I hit the table after this period. I will check back in with you all.

Thanks,
Ben

must be a narcissist thing...

it used to be, and probably still given as a training aid in snooker circles in the UK.

i used to use it because camcorders and tape were expensive 20 years ago. works very well if you place a mirror in front of you with an object to aim at. you can draw a sight line on the mirror and check your alignment to see if that or your stroke is crooked (lined up offset to target line, or cueing across the ball, etc).
