Hey, maybe Ginky is gearing up to play again? He greeted me at Master Billiards in Queens--he was practicing with Jennifer Barretta. He still playes in some Tri State tournaments too, no?Jude Rosenstock said:George "Ginky" SanSouci

Why don't you talk both he and Balukas into coming back. Say a one year trek to see how far they can go. Film it and make a documentary. Just remember to mention me as the inspiration when you pick up the 2007 Oscar for short feature.Jude Rosenstock said:Yes, he does. I actually see him quite often and I know that if push came to shove, he could be ready for any sort of action in little time. It's a real shame he lost interest. I'd be willing to argue that he was a future hall-of-famer.

Jude Rosenstock said:Seriously, Ginky has told me that his interest is completely lost. In his words, "What else is there for me to accomplish?" He has a point. It's very tough grind.
bud green said:I thought that Ginky had left pool to try and be a poker player. Tang Hoa also went the poler route I think. Ronnie Allen joked at the Hardtimes event he was going to quit and start playing poker.
I thought that I'd heard Ginky was thinking of playing again...maybe poker isn't as easy as everyone thinks.
CJ hasn't entered an event in a long time. I think he plays golf instead of pool when he isn't doing his business duties.Anyone in Dallas know if he ever plays private games?
Mataya does commentary but I can't remember the last time I saw his name as a player.
I don't know why Griffis stopped playing. Probably a family man.
Others: Mark Tadd, Mike Sigel, Reed Pierce, Dave Bollman, Mark Jarvis, Jimmy Fusco

He seems like a very nice guy from the commentary I've heard him do on some accu-stats tapes. Talented as hell to be a pro golfer and then win pro pool events.
He also won a major one pocket event years ago ( and broke poor Bill Incardonas' heart- the commentary on the end of the tape is almost sad). Maybe he'll play in the US OPEN in Vegas in October.
