mitered Veneers

I have been using the Stack method on veneers, but want to move to mitered.

My question is about what glue is best for lay up(been using TiteBond II} and what to use after mitered? I know some use epoxy and some use White glue, and I have seen CA used. I'm looking for any and all opinions.

Thanks

I use tightbond for mine. gives me a little working time to make sure they fit tight together. I have a better seam with it also.

Dan, if you plan on making mitered veneers you will want the glued up veneer as flat as you can get it. This means some sort of press. Also an apoxy will keep the veneers flat better over time. Titebond is a water based glue and will put moisture into the veneers and they will move in time after sheets are glued together. Check out Lee's press fixture @ Brianna Products. I have one and it works great. You may want to give him a call as he has a lot of little tid bits of infor on how to make veneer points from start to finish.

Jim.
