Well, no, it's really a Rubino, but we won't tell if you won't :D

All parts on the cue are Palmer old stock except the handle, pin and bumper.

The foil is being removed, and will either be blank.. or something with a little meaning...

Congratulations on the tribute design. Paul certainly shows all of the skills necessary to build this "Palmer Super Ultimate Supreme". I'm particularly impressed with his treatment of the shafts. I didnt think anyone could build such a convincing inlaid shaft that looks like it came right out of the Palmer shop. Screw on ferrules, the whole bit. You have to look at the cue for a while to see all the details.

When it comes to big Palmer jobs, it looks like Paul Rubino is the man.

That is one disgustingly awesome cue, and like Chris has said, it's just like it was made by Palmer himself, especially with the 2 top end cues in the 3rd catalogue being combined, nice thinking JV and very well made by Paul :D

I am wondering 1 thing though, as reguards the screw on ferrules, like the screw on cue tips, that are seen on really cheap cues, here in the UK, is there not the problem of the ferrules becoming loosened, or are they just screwed and glued? :)

I would imagine that the latter would be the case, but I'm not 100% sure :)

P.S. How about Having your name engraved in the Butt Sleeve, in the same way as the original butt sleeve would be :)

Paul also left the finish as a "french polish" which is more intune to the older styles of finish. It's a shellac/laquer process which is labor intensive.

Wizard; the screw on ferrules were commonplace on the Paradise/Palmer cues. These were so you could facilitate a tip change without having an extra shaft. These are not to be confused with the "screw on" tip.
