Modifying a Meucci..

I have a Meucci hook, a older meucci, I love the cue, but the shaft has been shaved down to a 12.00 mm and I want to have a stiffer hit, any suggestions? Should I purchase a new shaft for the cue say a OB? Or just try out say a Joss? Already has a M kamui black tip, any opinions would help, like I said I love the cue just in search for a more positive hit.

If you are looking for a stiffer hit then the Meucci shaft won't give it to you no matter what you do. OB/ Predator/ Joss and maybe Lucasi shafts would be better for a stiffer hit. I would suggest you got to a Billiards store and try each shaft out to see which one fits your personal preference.

The Tiger-Pro-X has a stiff shaft and solid hit. The tip is small but the shaft taper is a gradual taper...not a pro taper.

Send the cue to Ryan at mueller's and tell him what you want. I'm pretty sure he guarantees his work, and his work is top notch. He can and will build you a shaft that has the qualities you are looking for.
