Last night was league night. We play 8 ball in 9 foot tables.
Well the first shot I get The cueball must travel the full length of the table and draw back 5 or 6 feet so I have to put a bit of stroke on it. I fire the shot and the cueball comes straight back like I had it on an elastic band. I over drew by about 5 feet hooking myself. I’m thinking how the heck did I do that?
I finish my game and go back to the bar to wait on game 2.
The bartender who is my teammate comes over and says:
“Oh by the way the cueball isn’t a regular red circle Aramith someone switched it out it’s really light, watch out so you don’t overdraw the ball”
Whew switching a cueball when you are not expecting it can sure sneak up on you.
