Moori tip acting up...

I just had a Moori medium tip installed on my cue about a month ago. I've been shooting with it often (not breaking), and it's been terrific. When I first started shooting with it, I was drawing noticeably farther than before, and I really felt like I had more control over the cue ball.

Now, however, when I try to do a long draw shot (table length, for example), I'll miscue about half the time. No matter how much chalk I rub on there (tried blue and green Master's). At first I thought it was my stroke and that I was just way out of practice, but I had a couple other people try to draw with it, and the same problem seemed to happen.

I was inspecting the tip, and there seems to be a hairline crack where the bottom layer is. Could this be effecting it? Or is it that it needs to be scruffed? The crack doesn't appear to me to be effecting it, but I know nothing about this stuff.

Any advice or ideas as to what's going on?

I used to play with talisman tips and constantly had a problem with the layers seperating/cracking but i never saw a noticeable difference in how the tip performed......just the terrible sound of a cracked tip.

So it makes a clicking sound when you hit sometimes?
Test this by doing a medium hit while rotating the cue 1/8th a turn between each hit. If you hear a cracking/popping sound at a particular point the tip may have partially delaminated. Go directly to your local tipper and get it fixed :D .

I have been playing with a MH Moori for 3 months now and like it. So far it's the only good Laminated tip I have tried.

Well, I took it to the guy who put the tip on, and he said I shouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse... But I still am noticing the difference. I can't draw worth anything anymore, and nobody else can with it, either. I don't understand why. Hmm..
