More APA Disappointment....

I'm here in Vegas now for Masters. We went 2 and out. Sucks but somebody has to do it. I was here 2 weeks ago for BCA and it was great compared to the APA.
BCA mini tournaments were ran well. Walk in, signup and then play. Here at APA you have to sign up 24hrs in advance..WTF. I barely know what I'm going to be doing an hour from now.
The $1 a game crap sucks for anyone wanting to practice. I will gladly pay the $30 green fees the BCA charged. I think I played at least 30 games the first day I was there and I was there for 9 days. I do wish the BCA would put a cap on green fees though. Playing several events and continuing ot pay green fees suck but whatever.

My friends master team went 2 and out also.

Yea the dollar a practice game sucks.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to say this but since this is my 1st time here I hope you understand my dumbass mistake.

My team had just got through practicing about 10 minutes before our 1st match. We were walking to the main room and I realizes no one had tokens for the table. I turn around and go to the token machine and get 60 bucks worth of tokens and figure every teammate will buy what they use from me.

We go into the tournament room and I see all the tables are open. Lol.

I still got a shit load of tokens in my bag lol.

You know, I think they use the same tokens at every pool event. They won't go to waste.

Meh. Irmv.

I do know it costs money to transmit funds electronically. Yes indeed. However, I also have somewhat of a grasp on business practices (being a CPA and owning a firm), and having instant funds transfers without dealing with the bank or deposit delays would enable the LO's to utilize this liquid cash. If done properly, this would result in further profit for the LO and the APA.

Also, i'm jealous that your questions get answered promptly. Wish I could be in your boat with that. I have a rep who has been the division rep for over 3 years, i've never met him, and he's answered the phone once. Other than that its the team captains agreeing to disagree, writing notes, snail-mailing in score sheets, getting a response a few days (to a week) later and seldom with full resolution.

Fair disclosure: being in an industry that has heavy paperwork, zero tolerance for mathematical errors and stiff oversight often causes me to gripe when simple outside the box thinking and internal controls lapses would have prevented these situations in the first place.
