Why is nobody talking about the results? I guess it was more of a social gathering? No Pool?
Who is this kid Nick Tafoya?
I was not there, but I was trying to be a little sarcastic by saying nobody wanted to talk about the results: 13 year old Nick Tafoya from Albuquerque stole the show.

Is that the kid that you took the crayons from? You didn't stop there either. You guys should have seen it he was telling the kid to tell his dad that Deadstroke was giving him lessons and he needed money. Man, after he busted his dad Deadstroke was asking him if he had any other relatives there... It really was sad
He was truely schooling this kid even though I was ribbing him the whole time pleading him to cut the kid some slack. DS kept running out on him after the 3 ball. The more I ribbed him the more balls he made. BTW if you get a chance to see his pride and joy Murrell cue you will be impressed. It is beautiful.

I've seen the kid and his Dad play. The kid is pretty good, but I didn't find him to be spectacular or anything. His Dad is real nice, but didn't strike me as a super shot. I'm hoping he's not the only one coaching the kid.
Also, has this kid been thirteen forever? I thought he won the 14-18 year olds?

He played earlier this year in the second event with KBP tour at Fastbreak in Longwood Florida and did great against a field of 54. He finished 16th. Very nice young man, very polite too. I have a pretty competitive field in Florida so I know Nick is a good shot. His dad and mom both work with him from my understanding. He was playing in some junior events and things that Larry Giles had set up and Larry brought him over to my event to see how he'd do. I think he's up and coming with the way he's going now. His little brother is good too.
