Just happened to watch the putman/Morris vs Appleton/Melling. The score is tied 3-3. In the 7th game Europe breaks. They break dry and its an illegal break. They pass it back to Europe. Europe thinks for a bit and calls a time extension. Now in the same rack Melling gets out of line on the 7 ball. After thinking for a bit Appleton calls for another extension. I can't think everyone missed that they illegally called two extensions in the same rack but I thought they were only allowed one per rack. Is this legal?
This was a huge game not only in the score of this match but with USA having the momentum and being down 4-3 in total points.

Well I guess I should have watched the entire match before I posted this but I would still like to know the correct ruling.

I do not have a link. It has been showing on fox sports on the West coast. They have not aired the entire cup yet.

Yes the shot clock is 60 seconds after the break. The Americans used all 60seconds and then passed it back to Europe. At this time Europe talked it over and as the clock was running down called for the extension. Then called an extension again on the 7 ball.

I remember that. They forgot to give 60 seconds to Europe and when the clock got near 30 it started beeping so Europe said extension then Ken the referee cleared it up and said then clock was supposed to be 60 seconds, you still have your extension left.


Just watched that the other day.
It was a mistake they forgot to set the clock to 60 for Europe therefore they got their extension back.
 
Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why the breaking team would get 60sec and the opponent would only get 30. I appreciative the info.
