In another thread some interest was expressed in knowing who has been the Mosconi Cup MVP in their first year on a Cup team. It appears that no official MVP award was made until 2003. So here is the list of MVPs and their number of appearances on a Cup team at that point.
• The 3 players who were MVPs in their first appearance were Drago in 2007, Hatch in 2009, and Filler in 2017.
• The only player to be the MVP despite being on the losing side was Immonen in 2003.
• The 5 players who have won the award more than once are Immonen (2), Feijen (4), Woodward (2), Filler (3), and Shaw (3).
