mosconi cup-need advise

I just bought tickets to the mosconi cup in vegas for me and my girlfriend.

I see that it starts at 11:00 am but I could not figure out how late it goes. Can someone give me a feel for how the schedule works.

We'd like to go to Shania's show one of the nights. Does the MC go into the evening, and if so, does it matter which night we miss? I suppose it matters whether a team is winning all the points early.

Any advice or thoughts on getting the best experience would be appreciated.

We've never been to a pro pool event, but figure this would be an entertaining one to try.

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken it will be over by 3pm local time. The main viewing audience is in Europe, so this broadcast won't go past midnight for them. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I went in 2009 and it was ending around 4:30 or 5 each day if I recall correctly. On day-1 there was an intro, then 5 matches with short breaks between matches. Expect 5 matches on day-2, and likely as well on day-3. Day-4 could end early, and heck day-3 could be the end of it in the case of a landslide.

Also some other info... Note that the line of people waiting to enter and claim their seats for the event would start around 9-ish if memory serves, and I think that is generally how it goes from year to year. You could show-up a little later and still be okay, and it's a small audience so any seat works, but some seats are better than others. We just made a point to get up early, have breakfast and be in line by 9:15 and life was good, albeit I'm not a morning person. This year I'll struggle to get up that early :)

Lastly, regarding food, the breaks are short so if you decide to go get food you will likely miss some game-play if you go and sit down to eat somewhere. If you don't want to miss anything, be prepared to step-out and eat quickly, or bring the food back to eat at your seat or bring your own packed food (assuming Mirage allows it). At the MGM people were hitting the food court eating quickly and coming back barely missing anything.

Cheers

I'm from SD and will be going with wifey for the first time myself. I was under the impression that the event went from around 10-4 each day. Seems pretty nice that there is still plenty of day left over and no one has to get up at 6:30 am in order to see the event. I'll be the fellow losing his biscuits cheering for SVB!

I thought my tickets had assigned seats. On one night we are seats 95 and 96. On the other hand it did say they were General Admission seats.

The start time is 11am local (7pm london) every day, and there is usually a maximum of 5 hours of air time.

In any case, it will all be over long before 5pm on the three first days. The fourth might go overtime if nobody dominates.

If you plan on attending a show, pick the three first days from 6pm on, you'll have time to leave the Mirage and head anywhere in Vegas.

In the meantime we'll be writing press reports, uploading the pictures so you can log on to AZB when you come out of the show for another Mosconi Cup fix
