1 - I assume Matchroom with some input from the previous MC captain of each team, but not positive. I can’t think of who else it would be.

2 - I assume at the completion of each round but well before the start of the next round, the two captains are in the same room and alternate matches in terms of who they are choosing for match 1 for example, with the other captain then choosing the opponent for match 1, then that captain gets to choose first for the match 2, etc.

3 - No, captains cannot change picks barring some strange occurrence that would physically prevent that player from playing his designated match.

4 - Each of the players on the team has to play a minimum of 2 singles matches and 2 doubles matches over the 4 days. Some players will end up playing more matches due to the fan’s choice matches and the captain’s choice final match, if it comes down to that. As it turned out, 4 players played one less singles match because there were two matches that were not even necessary to be played on the final day.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable may add to / correct these assumptions, but it’s pretty obvious this is how it should be done.
