For anyone who in the know..is the Fargo Rating used at all when considering our team players? It sure appears every where matches are played. Just curious.
Good question for sure.
The answer is no, although Fargo may give the Mosconi team coaches some clues regarding player performance. It does not, however, tell you who is playing well right now, and, if memory serves, the Fargo methodology counts matches up to ten years old in the calculation, explaining why we still see the names of inactive/retired players like Mark Gray, Mike Dechaine and Nick Vandenberg near the top of the Fargo rankings.
