I noticed that Mosconi was only 5 years older than Wimpy but i havent ever heard about them matching up in their prime years. Was Mosconi too cocky not to play a hustler? Was Lassiter afraid to play Mosconi's "only" game straight pool against the champ? Did they compete in same tournaments? Who would have won?:wink:

imo lassiter was the better overall player. He played all games well.
mosconi really wasn't much of a gambler. if he and lassiter would have played, i think lassiter would have won.
