>>>>> Most Recognizable Cue <<<<<

Truth is Tad doesn't get copied because, quite frankly, they aren't as popular as Szam', SW, and Bushka's. Cuemakers make what people ask for, and very few are asking for a TAD tribute.

That is an interesting point. I wonder why the fancy butt sleeves of Tads haven't been copied much. Not hardly any compared to Szamboti or Ginacue designs.

I've been thinking about this and it's tough to come up with a definitive answer or short list even....depends a lot of the audience. Meucci and Cuetec are super recognizable cues to the masses. To the more "cue aficionados", SW, Ginacue, Tad, Szamboti....sure. I get those.

with all my respect, we shouldn't forget Dave Barenbrugge, when it comes to micro rings ...

You got me on that one, I've never owned a Dave Barenbrugge cue, or held one.
Every line item on my post could be debated, in fact I just made it all up.
What about the Ernie Martinez octagon bumper?

I did say Brunswick, I figured that would have worked.

My humor is not popular around here.

Every time I took a restored Hoppe out to play, multiple guys stopped over to ask if I knew we what I had and try to rob me with a low offer.

I do the same thing every time I spot somebody with one, I have not gotten lucky yet. I have 1 original Hoppe and 1 conversion, always keeping an open eye for either.

Im not even sure what kind of cue or cues they are but somebody makes cues with chrome around the butt sleeve. Thats the most recognizable cue to me.

Based on my experience I'd have to say:
Tad
Cogs
Gina
Prewitt
Judd
Josey and Bobby Hunter (can't tell the two apart from a distance, but am usually sure it's one or the other)

I think Josey's are pretty distinctive.

I play with a fancy Josey sneaky that has his signature curly points and have had a few folks walk up to me complimenting the cue and recognized the cue maker. Even more random - one night playing with my other Josey (just a beat up, scratched up and scarred regular sneaky) some guy walks up asking to buy it from me.
