Mounting Inlay Material

A while back there were some posts on doing inlays and mounting the material on a backing with glue. I can't seem to find the thread and was interested in trying this method of mounting material. Could someone help with the backing material used and the glue, and what was used to dissolve the glue without hurting the inlay.

I finally found the thread and it had all the info I needed.
